On September 30th, the Walser Auto Campus turned up the heat at the Wichita Wagon Masters Chili Cookoff held at Naftzger Park. Proudly serving as a presenting sponsor for this sizzling event, Walser not only sponsored but also entered the People’s Choice chili contest. Our very own Jason Scharnhorst, Parts Manager at BMW of Wichita, carried the team with a chili creation that captivated taste buds and was truly worthy of mention.

Jason’s Chili wasn’t just a dish; it was a labor of love. He dedicated several days to perfecting his recipe, laboring over the smoker to infuse flavors and working tirelessly to ensure it was reheated to perfection on-site. In a grand culinary endeavor, Jason whipped up an impressive 35 gallons of chili, a testament to the passion and dedication poured into this savory creation. The Walser Auto Campus team came together, showcasing the spirit of collaboration and camaraderie that defines our community and playing an important role in getting chili to the mouths of voters!

The Wichita Wagon Masters Chili Cookoff drew an estimated 7,000 individuals from the community who eagerly sampled the mouthwatering offerings from various Wichita businesses and organizations. The aroma of simmering spices and the lively atmosphere made it an event to remember.
